| The Parochial Church Council (PCC) | This comprises of ex-officio members (the Clergy, the Churchwardens and those elected at the Annual Parish Meeting to represent Holy Cross on the Deanery Synod) and 21 members elected at the Annual Parish Meeting for a term of three years. Seven elected members retire each year. They may stand for re-election provided that they have not served more than six years. Members will normally be involved with one or more sub-committees (teams). |
| The Vicar, who is Chairman of the PCC, delegates this role to the lay Vice Chairman for the meetings. The Secretary and Treasurer are elected by the PCC and will normally serve a four-year term. | |
| The Electoral Roll Officer | The maintenance of the Electoral Roll is entrusted to the Electoral Roll Officer. A lay person shall be entitled to have his or her name entered on the roll if he or she is baptised, of sixteen years and upwards, has signed an application form and is resident in the parish or has habitually attended public worship in the parish. Application forms are available at the back of the church. The roll is renewed every four years. Only those on the roll are entitled to vote at the Annual Parish Meeting. |
