The North side is 14th Century work, the Chantry Chapel at its eastern end having been built on in the 15th Century “for offering of the Holy Sacrifice for the souls of the departed”. The Chantry was suppressed in 1536, and since then, for 400 years, the Chantry has been the property of the owners of Milgate Park (from the reign of Elizabeth I to 1624, the Fludd family, and afterwards for nearly 250 years, the Cage family).
It was restored to the legal ownership of the Church in 1966.

The window near the pulpit has a niche in which stands an elegant Madonna and Child statue, a gift to Miss Tope, Superintendent of St Faith’s Home 1938 -1942, and donated by the Rev. Alan Duke in 1981 when St. Faith’s Home in Bearsted closed.
